First off, thank you for your interest! I absolutely love creating personal paintings that are meaningful to others. It adds another dimension to my artwork, and I'm honored to share that with you.
I will provide a quote based on the type of paint used, the size of the piece, and the subject matter complexity. The more photos you are able to provide, the better. If we decide to go ahead, a 50% deposit is charged prior to starting. Next, I will sketch a draft for you to look over before I begin painting. During the painting process, I will sending several in-progress photos to ensure that it is a collaboration on both of our parts. You'll have several opportunities to make minor changes.
I will send you a photo of the finished painting with some detail shots for any final edits. After the final payment, the painting will be varnished, wired (optional), and shipped within one week of completion. Keep in mind that oils may require additional time to dry.
The time can vary from one week to 3 months, depending on the size of the painting (or if it is a series of paintings). All this information will be provided at the initial inquiry. My work is scheduled for ahead, so please plan accordingly.
General price estimates correspond with size. These are listed on the commission form (see button below). For a more accurate quote, simply fill out the commission form, and I will email you back within 24 hours.
Typically, I typically paint on cotton canvas. But there is the option of hardboard, cradled wood or canvas panel with edge depths varying from 1/8 to 2.5in. Your painting can be customized to how you want it -- I can even do round paintings, just ask! ;)
